The infinitive of a verb is its unconjugated form such as tener, comer, ser, etc. Irregular forms of a verb are shown in red. A common irregular verb is "tener" (to have).  Verbix shows orthographic modifications in blue.  Orthographic changes are not common.  Basically they are spelling changes used mostly to keep the pronunciation of a word constant as the conjugation changes.  A well-known verb with an orthographic change is "jugar" (to play).
